Elyana Martinez M.Ed. BCBA, LBA
With over a decade of experience in the mental health and intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) fields, Elyana brings a wealth of expertise and a deep commitment to supporting individuals with Autism and other behavioral needs. As the Clinical Director at Action Care ABA LLC, Elyana oversees the implementation of evidence-based practices in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), ensuring that every client receives personalized care rooted in compassion and clinical excellence.
Elyana began their career in 2013 with the local mental health authority, gaining valuable experience with Texas Medicaid Waivers and IDD crisis prevention. From there, Elyana transitioned to a private psychiatric hospital before assuming the role of Behavioral Health Director at the El Paso State Supported Living Center. During this time, Elyana received direct training from Dr. Richard Smith in Functional Behavior Assessments, using this knowledge to successfully reduce the use of restraints and facilitate the transition of individuals back into community living.
In 2018, Elyana earned a Master’s degree in Special Education with a focus on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), solidifying her passion and expertise in the field. After years of hands-on experience and continued professional development, Elyana achieved Board Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA) in 2021, further enhancing her ability to lead clinical teams and deliver high-quality care.
As a passionate advocate for the Autism community, Elyana expanded her expertise in ABA by working in clinic settings, where they specialized in providing individualized interventions for children. In 2024, Elyana became a member of the El Paso TxABA regional committee, playing a key role in the planning of the organization's first regional conference. Currently serving on TxABA's Executive Council, Elyana works to address the unique needs of the borderland region at the state level.
As a proud native of El Paso, Elyana is dedicated to bringing valuable resources and support to their local community. Her work is guided by a steadfast commitment to improving the lives of individuals with Autism and their families, making a lasting impact on the community she loves.
